I loved my two years at Carol Mary Apartments. Always clean and maintenance was always fast. But all good things must come to an end and one must move on to better things.
The property manager, Lisa is one of the most efficient and dedicated I’ve ever experienced. My wife and I feel safe in these apartments because the facility is locked at all times with doors automatically close behind you. The parking lot is close to the nearest gate so my wife feels safe coming home alone. The area is not amazing, but it’s not bad enough that we feel worried about safety. (No creepy strollers etc) Lisa is quick to respond to any needs of tenant and seems to always have our best interest in mind. Pool is ALWAYS clean and beautiful. Other tenants are kind and not creepy. Most of them probably enjoy the lower rent and many families also enjoy the property. Overall, my wife and I couldn’t have asked for a most perfect first home as we save up.
I'm not sharing my experience as a resident but an applicant: A couple weeks ago I was applying to a lot of different apartment listings, Carol Mary was one of them. Things began progressing with another apartment I was interested in, however I had already applied to Carol Mary and there was a $300 fee built into the application that was processed immediately. I emailed someone from MEB, the property management Carol Mary is under, and let them know I was approved for a different apartment and would not be going further with my application to Carol Mary. They were very professional and understanding in processing my refund - I was in between apartment homes and let them know, and they were able to send the refund check to a friend's address. The whole thing took less than a week and I was very relieved and happy to have this refund processed. $300 is a lot of money and it was a huge relief to have it refunded. I expected apartment companies and property management companies to be shady about this sort of thing, but the exact opposite happened. Thank you for the great service to someone who isn't even a resident!
*****update, 2020***** I renewed my lease, I love this place I had an issue with the a/c thermostat and I must say that maintenance and management handled the situation quite well, the issue itself was due to an error on the app (yes we can control our ac remotely through and a phone application) and nothing to do with the installation itself, Lisa was quick to respond to my email and calls as well as Gary, I really don’t know why people have posted negative reviews on this place, my experience has been really really good, Thank you Lisa and Gary, my ac it’s up and running, they installed an older thermostat and next week the gust over Nest themselves will be coming over to figure out the problem, meanwhile I have no issue not having the commodity of the app on my phone, five stars !
I would not reccomend . We ended our lease early because of the cockroach infestation. It was disgusting I hated living here. In our electronics, our cabinets, everywhere we would go there would be cockroaches. I can’t wait to move out.
