Getting someone on the phone during business hours is quite a challenge. And although I appreciate Management wanting residents to abide by the rules and agreements of the lease, the constant slap on the hand emails and/or texts can be tiring to read. It feels like I'm living in a college dorm vs. a luxury apartment. I would love to see more positive communication( community building events/opportunities) that is equivalent to the amount of rule reminders being sent out. I would also appreciate a responsive property management team.

Been hear for almost a year, can’t wait to move out to be honest. To call this place a luxury apartment is a complete joke. They are so close to being done with the roof top but the TVs are still not hooked up, the pool that is supposed to be heated and year round still unavailable, the rules they set on residents make you feel as if your in high school. I have truly wasted my money. If your planning on moving in I would wait till all amenities are complete 100%

There are only two words to describe my stay so far at Cortland Vesta...Absolutely Amazing!!! They have the absolute best staff that tends to our every need. The community is quiet and peace, but at the same time it's full of life. They have outstanding amenities and the people here are a joy to be around. I highly recommend this community for anyone considering moving to the Greater Birmingham area.

We were excited to move into this "luxury" apartment and signed a 15 month lease. Management changed shortly after we moved in and everything went downhill. I asked for a new lease to review. After a few weeks, I reminded them that I asked for the lease. It was "on its way from Atlanta." Local Management does nothing without calling Atlanta first. I also inquired about a 6 month option. After about three weeks, I received a call from Manager Crystal Welch. She said she called to "go over your options." Expecting that she would discuss the 1-year and 6-month lease extensions, I was shocked when she said, "we have leased your apartment ." "You can stay until the 15th, but we need 5-days to prepare the apartment for the new residents who are moving in on the 20th. Several things you should know if you are looking to move onto this "luxury" apartment community: Management is unresponsive. There is no on-site security. The construction is shoddy ( The door on our floor to the parking garage has been broken since we moved in. The fixtures in units are cheap and break often. They allow lights to be hung and gas grills on balconies, but do not enforce these rules. In fact, their idea of enforcing rules is to send a "friendly reminder "to all residents about what ever rule has been broken . Management claims that a "courtesy officer" lives on-site although no one has ever seen this individual. The property is billed as no smoking anywhere. Not true. Fed-Ex routinely delivers packages and drops then in the entryway (a fire hazard) and you may find that a package was delivered to the other building. Weekend Amazon, Fed-Ex etc. drivers cannot get in the building. Cortland installed a FOB and Call system which requires you to go to the first floor to let your guests in. Guest cant operate the elevator without a FOB! Once the 18th floor amenities were opened, a year late, Cortland began to rent out the outside bar area for Private Events, restricting use of teh area by other residents. Often we were given a 1-hour notice via message or email about the closure. Embarrassing if you have invited guests to join you to watch the beautiful sunset. Construction is still on-site fixing things that are not right. The property has a beautiful lobby which was supposed to have a concierge; that person has never materialized. The "all season pool" has a non-existent heater. I could go on, but bottom line is if you lease here you are going to pay top dollar for a non-existent "luxury living experience." A disappointment in most aspects.

I love this property! The staff is so friendly. I moved in two months ago and I can honestly say they go above and beyond for their residents. The amenities are wonderful ..hands down the best property, staff, and view in Birmingham, AL!
