I have lived across the street for a few month now and my girlfriend and I love it! Everything has been great from the day we toured to now! The leasing team is amazing! Scott, Jeana and Miah are always up to help! Even when they're busy they find ways to help you and tour needs. The maintenance team as well does so much! They usually get work orders done right away but even when they're super slammed they communicate with me they haven't forgotten about us! The whole team here will not let you down. You have access to both properties (hints why I'm doing a review for somewhere I don't live) so that's really nice! I love using the pool table here and enjoying the pool at both properties now that the temperature is warming up! Having access to two gyms is nice especially when one is a little to crowded in my opinion. Overall both properties are great to live at. You get an amazing team and location! Living downtown comes with everything you have restaurants and bars all around you. I love music so I don't mind when I hear it while walking around my community from local restaurants/bars or first Friday because that's what comes with the area and I personally love it. I love this community and everything is has to offer. Couldn't be happier here. You won't be disappointed!
I lived at Illuminate this past year and had nothing but a wonderful experience. The neighborhood is very walk able, full of art and good food. The building itself is modern and well priced. I spent many days relaxing at the pool or using the fully equipped 24hr gym. Repairs were fast and the staff were highly responsive and reasonable. Jeana the assistant manager is an angel and I have never had better service than she provided. If I didn't have to move for a job I would have stayed another year! The only complaint I would have is the building does not recycle. An easy fix!
My expectations of this community are dwindling by the minute. After doing tons of research in the area, only a handful met my checklist with iLuminate in the top three. Everything leading up to the move-in day was stellar, mostly thanks to Jeana. She is by far the best leasing agent you will meet in the area. She continues to amaze me but everything else is just sub-par. From the day I moved-in, it was already iffy. First off, the move-in "dock" is a roll up door that is not intended for vehicles to go through. Just people and carts. So, your moving parade will have to park in the alley and cart your stuff from the alley to wherever your unit is. I was lucky no one else is moving that day and I can't imagine how multiple move-ins would work. Maybe they only allow one move-in per day? Don't really know. The distance is not the issue but the security of an open truck while people are moving your possessions could be. Make sure you move-in during business hours and that they have an extra guy to stay in the truck. One of the 3 things I like about this place is the floor plan (Jeana is one and location is the third). I love the layout. That's mostly all I can say about it. My move-in checklist returned a ton of repairs that took weeks to resolve (we still have one pending issue but due to COVID and mgmt requiring us to vacate the unit entirely to do repairs, this issue will continue to linger with WFH and online schooling). It span the gamut from a chipped toilet tank cover to a leaking dishwasher to a circuit constantly tripping... it definitely was a departure from your typical "scuffs on wall" or "burned out bulb." CONCIERGE: When inquiring about this place, pay no mind when they mention that they have a virtual concierge. This caught my attention and I was very excited about it. The last time I lived at a place with a real, live concierge was in Chicago, so I figured a virtual one might be the next best thing! It's supposed to grant your authorized guests access instead of you buzzing them in (or punching in a code to buzz in) You get connected to a live person who unlocks the doors and gives directions to your unit (outside of business hours). Similarly, if you forget your keys, they would let you in. That was the promise. Here's the reality: your guest calls in and they are let into just the lobby, not the elev lobby so, they are trapped and you would need to come get them. If it's delivery, forget requesting for delivery to your door because they can't get to you. How's that for contactless delivery? I had the misfortune of forgetting my keys and the concierge (Steven) told me he can't let me through the elevator lobby. Who thought this concierge feature was a plus? GUEST/DELIVERY PARKING: There are no guest spots in the garage nor the street. Your guests will need to park in the alley or a block away. I've been working from home primarily and need packages dropped off now and again - to avoid inconveniencing the folks that are accommodating my situation, I need to meet them at the alley to accept packages. Same is true for 3rd party Amazon delivery - you can't get in the garage like the official delivery folks. Hopefully you come during business hours so you can drop off at the doorstep. Otherwise, keep those masks and sanitizers handy because you will be in contact with people. PETS: there is no dog run, just a dog wash that smells weird. They are pretty good at keeping the poop bags stocked though. TRASH: This has been the oddest thing about this place - there aren't any trash cans around. Just one intended for mail but gets loaded with regular trash that people don't want to carry back to their units. OVERALL: It is clean, quiet, they have Jeana, and a cool floor plan. The end.
Love this building and location. There are so many bars, restaurants, and a lot of stuff to do walking distance from the building. I used to live in downtown Orlando and those building cant even compare to this gem. I love the pool which I can use whenever I want and its always super clean. The doggy wash station has been super helpful when having to bathe my pup. Not only is the building awesome but the staff is great, they are super nice and helpful with absolutely anything that you might need. They do their best to find you the best apartment that can fit your needs and wants.
This place is a joke! Not a single amenity promised was provided. The staff had no idea what I was talking about when I asked them about it either. I had to pull up their description of amenities on their app to prove I wasn’t lying. The “secure” parking garage isn’t very secure since they leave it open all day long and even forget to close it after hours regularly when they leave for the night. Due to this, bicycles are frequently stolen from the garage. There is no dog run or grass anywhere, so during the summer time you better hope your dog likes to wear shoes. Putting a dog wash station in does NOT make this place dog friendly. This was a nightmare for our two dogs the year and a half we lived here. Anybody can sneak into the building through the basement since the fob entrance to the elevator has never been functioning. We also really enjoyed the music from the Dressing Room pumping into our entire apartment until 2 am everyday. If I could rate Iluminate zero stars I would. Don't waste your money!
